I’m a decidedly mediocre photographer and it takes me forever to take pictures of these specimens. This is my excuse for not having any new pictures up lately – but I thought maybe a couple of “in progress” shots might be rad.

This is the current collection of specimens in various states of finished. Many are unpainted, and the green lump up front isn’t even baked. As a bonus, Gus crashed the picture.
Here are some unbaked specimens. I’m a bit annoyed at the current batch of Sculpey that I got because it’s so inconsistently mushy.

So fun! And I’m glad I’m not the only one who uses round cake pans to bake my stuff in. Although I usually flip them over and bake them on the flat bottom of the pan, which made for some interesting patterns when I burned the squares for a bracelet once…. but that’s another story.
And someday I will have a specimen of my own! I just have to scrounge up some money after the Christmas pocket-emptying is over.
I usually use a flat baking tray, but I have no idea where that went! I probably actually used it for cooking once and then it just sort of migrated back to the bakingtraysforbaking section.
I also burn specimens a lot. Ha.
I also want to buy some of your stuff post christmas(I keep on trying to think of who I could give your punctuation earrings as gifts to…and then it struck me! They’d be perfect for ME!)
