The Omega 1 Spacepod was a collaboration between me, my boyfriend Jason Bender and our friend Scott Keeler. Some of the aesthetic components and physical labour were generously provided by various friends of ours.(Tim Williams, Brian Heins…)
I was primarily responsible for the initial drafting and the interior of the ship. The boys made sure it didn’t fall apart.
The Spacepod was installed at Burning Man in 2008 (Wheel and 8:30) and 2009 (3rd and Esplanade), where it served as a great place to hide from duststorms, and as a hotbox.
