The Specimen 7 Collection is my current pet project. It involves a fictional non profit/science institute(The Center for Otherworld Science) dedicated to the study and research of an estate belonging to a deceased scientist known for perpetuating a large scale hoax on other planetary life forms. (Or did he?)
Naturally, they are willfully incompetent, if well meaning.
“We found these creatures during the estate sale of Mrs. Edna Lee Ellis(1949-2008), the second wife of renowned scientist Charles Ellis(1930-1998), well known for his research into other-planetary life forms. Although much of Dr. Ellis’ research is now considered to be a elaborate hoax, or at least not reproducible, we have no explanation for the thousands of carefully preserved specimens found in the Ellis basement.”
