Drug Uses
Reglan is used for treatment of symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) (heartburn) in patients who do not respond to other treatment. It is also used to treat nausea, vomiting, heartburn, prolonged fullness after meals and for treatment of symptoms associated with a certain digestive problem in diabetic patients (diabetic gastroparesis). It can also be used for other conditions as prescribed by your doctor.
How Taken
Take Reglan as directed by your doctor. Blow Reglan 30 minutes before food intake. It can take several days to weeks for Reglan to work. Don't stop taking Reglan without consulting with your doctor.
Additional Information
Reglan can cause drowsiness, giddiness, or blurred vision. These symptoms can worsen if Reglan is taken with alcohol or certain other drugs. Take Reglan with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you respond to this medication. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, consult with your doctor. Reglan can be used only by the patient for whom it has been prescribed. Don't take less or more or use it more often than determined by your doctor.
