Drug Uses
Verapamil is used for treatment of supraventricular tachycardia, a rhythm disturbance of the heart. It is also used for controlling heart rate response to other rhythm disturbances, specifically atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter. It may also be used for other conditions as directed by your physician.

Use Verapamil as suggested by your doctor.

Verapamil can cause dizziness. These effects can worsen if Verapamil is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Take Verapamil with caution. Don't drive or perform other possibly dangerous tasks until you know how you respond to this medicine. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, call your doctor. This drug should be used only by the patient for whom it has been determined. Do not take less or more or take it more often than advised by your doctor.
