Drug Uses
Zithromax is used for treatment of infections caused by certain bacteria. It may also be used for other situations as directed by your physician.
How Taken
Take Zithromax as advised by your doctor. To clear up your infection completely, take Macrobid for the full course of treatment. Keep taking it even if you feel better in a few days. Failure to do so can decrease the effectiveness of this healing and can increase the risk that the bacteria will no longer sensitive to Zithromax and will not be able to be treated by this or certain other antibacterial drugs in the future.
Additional Information
Zithromax may cause drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, or lightheadedness. These effects may worsen if Zithromax is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Use Zithromax with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly dangerous tasks until you know how you respond to this drug. If your symptoms don't improve or if they worsen, check with your doctor. This medicine should be used only by the patient for whom it has been determined. Don't take less or more or take it more often than advised by your doctor.
